South Delhi at a glance

When it comes to developed and most exclusive areas of the Capital, then South Delhi always has it’s head held high. If you’re a Delhiite, then you’ll certainly know the inside of South Delhi. The area initially developed during 1992 Asian Games held in Delhi. Since then, the region has incredibly developed into a mass tourist and corporate attraction.The zone not only provides some great visiting places, but also lets us through the inner delicacies of the The Rajdhani .

Also known as the administrative district of the capital, the quarter is famous for it’s truly remarkable look and the development of the region. It has hoisted some of the greatest competitions and is accompanied by the presence of All India Institute of Medical Sciences and other significant institutions.

The area is a great tourist attraction as for it’s inner beauty. The region of Nehru Place and South Extension play a great role towards providing a great experience to the outsiders. Whether it be shopping, hanging around or looking at some great creations, these regions have always played their part.

When we move a little inwards, we can find Ansari Nagar and Malviya Nagar which are basically residential spots. Lajpat Nagar is a great tourist spot, not only beauty-wise but because of the markets and attractions it has. It has a famous cloth market and a vintage Bhalle-Papdi Stall which serves the same Indian delicacy that was served decades ago.

South Delhi has always been famous for it’s exclusive mix of urbanization and greenery. The expanse is well marked with green sectors and calm residential spaces. The area is also well marked with it’s DTC Bus service extending up to 3000 buses serving daily to this part of the capital. Another major addition is the presence of Metro and cluster buses.

One last thing to be mentioned is the great nature of the inhabitants. The area is predominantly residential and has good residents having exquisite nature and a feeling of “Clean Delhi, Green Delhi”. South Delhi is one such place where pollution goes out the window. So, if you hit Delhi someday, don’t forget to mark your footprint in this exclusive territory.
