We present some of these offbeat trekking options to you:
Moorang, Himachal Pradesh


Located in Kinnaur, the apricot orchards add to the charm of this picturesque village. Moorang fort, has a mythological dimension to it, believed to be the one mentioned to constructed by Pandavas from Mahabharata.
Minzong, Arunachal Pradesh
Minzong is a serene village in Arunachal Pradesh, and you can enjoy the trekking opportunities there, taking up which offer panoramic view of the meadows. The village is a tranquil piece of work- a just addition to the landscape.
Chadar, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir
The Chadar frozen river trek is considered to be a daunting and demanding trek. If you are a game for challenges, and would like to pump up some adrenaline, this one is for you. Temperatures can be as treacherous as the trek. The scenic Zanskar valley would offer enough food for the eyes, while you might your feet finds pug marks along the way. Now, you might notice a snow leopard or two, if you’re lucky enough.
Kalindi Khal Trek, Himachal Pradesh
A trek that demands fitness, that can be even more formidable if the weather betrays. Your path would be a gauntlet hurdled by glaciers, snow and rocks and boulders. The terrains which is laced with crevasses can be unexpectedly enigmatic.
Dzongri-Goecha La, Sikkim
This is a rather pleasant trek, and one would prefer taking a diary and camera along, to note the experiences. The trails vary from green meadows to rhododendron forests, from rocky terrains to muddy patches, from the river gurgling Prekchu to the deep blue lake of Samiti, the trail offers a plethora of experiences that might seem a hard job to intake within such short time.
