We always need an inspiration to do even a small act in our lives- right from pushing ourselves out of bed in the morning to visiting a nearby grocery store to buy a few essentials. We always need that ‘extra’ boost to go and do something; irrespective of how trivial the act is. So, let’s face it- we’re a bit lazy and we’re proud of it. Of course I’ll take up this topic again and prove how it’s not our fault but the extreme geographical conditions which has made us lazy! 😉
Okay back to the topic. So it was a few days back until I realized that we possess this great superhuman quality of being lazy. My college friends have been asking me to come over and enjoy the game of Cricket one of these evenings. I always kept pushing it to “Tomorrow, for sure!” (Kal pakka chalunga!) Despite being a Cricket freak couple of years back. And this has been going on for over a month! But I recently got a chance to go through some great health blogs which finally forced me out of my home and enjoy the game of Cricket.
This is exactly the same with traveling. We keep pushing our travel plans to the next year and this goes on until we are too old to travel. We believe in the philosophy of traveling-can-wait-for-a-few-years but the pile of urgent project assignments on our desk can’t.
But traveling isn’t just a fun activity- it allows you to grow as a person and makes you a better person. So here’s our list of some of the benefits traveling has on offer for you and would inspire you to travel more frequently.
Traveling makes you more confident
Traveling and exploring places certainly makes you more confident and prepares you for new challenges in life. Go on a trekking trip to Ladhakh or enjoy water sports in Goa– you’re bound to become more confident towards life!
Traveling makes you more social
Irrespective of where you’re heading to, traveling makes you more social as you get to know more and more people. Its simple- you either make friends or you end up being alone on road while traveling!
Traveling makes you cool and calm
Traveling certainly makes you adaptable to situations, especially so in our case. Late trains, bad food, slow buses and what not- you’ll get to face all sorts of trouble while you’re traveling in most of the countries. But in the end, it makes you adapt to these situations in a better way.
Traveling makes you smart
Traveling, of course, makes you a smarter person than what you were, before traveling. You get to know new people, their culture, what language they speak and some amazing facts about their history!
Traveling makes you realize how amazing our planet is and get you to know people and places which a geography book can’t!
Traveling makes you less materialistic
Traveling makes you realize the true importance of materialistic things. In fact, you get to know the true meaning of life and much more than what a religious book might teach you. You realize that leading a happy life is in no way related to how much wealth you’ve accumulated!
And of course, traveling makes you a happy person.
So, traveling makes you smarter, more social, confident, smarter, and adaptable and a happier person– isn’t that the list of qualities which one needs to become successful in life?
We’ve added quite a few benefits of traveling and would encourage you to keep adding your points via the comments section below.
