Situated in Rajasthan, it is also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park. It is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world and the best in India. During winters, thousands of rare as well as highly endangered birds flock to this sanctuary making it a paradise for viewing exotic birds in the world.

Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary

Situated near Ahmedabad in Gujarat, it is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in India. It comprises of a huge lake and ambient marshes and is the largest wetland bird sanctuary in Gujarat. Birds like Pelicans, Flamingoes, Pintails, Shovellers, Spoonbills and Avocets can be easily spotted here.

Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary

Located near Puri in Orissa (now Odisha), it is a popular sanctuary amongst tourists. Chilka Lake is the most beautiful salt water lake in Asia one of the largest in India. It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds in India.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary

Located in Gurgaon district of Haryana, it plays host to several colourful migratory species. It comprises of a shallow fresh water lake. Hundreds of winged species visit it for feeding every year.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

Also known as Vembanad sanctuary, it is situated near the Vembanad Lake. It has amazing visitors like Flycatcher, Teal, Siberian Stork, Wood Beetle, etc. Houseboat rides through the lake make it all more attractive.

Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary

It is situated near the banks of River Kaveri in Karnataka. Exotic migratory birds like Ibis, Patridge, Egret, Heron and River Tern are the attractions of this sanctuary.
